I'm in the market for new equipment. Is anyone using the GE E9? I've heard good reports about it (indirectly!) but would be grateful for any experience direct form the horses mouth! Thanks!

Lower limb venous reporting templates

Does anyone out there use diagrams for reporting their lower limb venous incompetence scans? The diagram we currently use tries to show the anterior/posterior leg in the same diagram. As you can imagine it can be very confusing for surgeons to figures out which veins we mean to be anterior or posterior. Does anyone have a good diagram of the lower limb veins? Perhaps a seperate one for the posterior leg? I would be greatful if you could email me a copy to markyoung72@mac.com.

We are looking into changing our reporting system,

What do you use? Have you seen or heard of anything for vascular?

Does anyone use a computer package that incorporates images to a report? that can be stored to a hard disk?
We would like to keep pictures that we can annotate rather than revert to text only reports.

Thanks!

Toe / Brachial Pressure Indices.

Hi Everyone

Can anyone help me with some info please?

What are the normal values for toe / brachial pressure indices when both brachial and toe pressures are measured with PPG as compared with measuring the brachial pressure with doppler and the toe pressure with PPG? There seems to be a very wide variation looking through the literature and no real consensus.

Does anyone out there know?

Thanks

Hi All

Can anyone tell me whether you can still purchase a stresst'er ergometer and if so where from.

I think it was sturert medical systems originally but i can't find them on the web or find any other means of contact.

I have to replace my old treadmill with something alot smaller ( space within the lab is now at a premium ) and with something that most patients can possibly use.

Does anyone out there have experience of the stresst'er? or does anyone use anything else that would be ...

Hi Everyone

My old faithful scimed portable vascular lab has finally become obsolete and I have to find a replacement for it. The only equivalent machine that i could find is the Viasys Microlite however my finance department wants me to provide three different quotations for three different machines or else cost every single individual item required for all the different tests!

What do other members use or recommmend?

I need to be able to perform the following examinations:CW doppler, ...

I saw the voice recognition on the iU22 at an SVT day ages ago, but we haven't got one of these machines in our uint.

I wondered if anyone who has an iU22 uses this function (or was it an added option, or dropped from use?)?

I would feel silly doing it, but was thinking the other day that it would be great to use from an ergonomics point of view for VV scans for example - esp for taking a Doppler trace with augmentation ( "Doppler on"......."Doppler off"...)

has anyone see this?

There was one at the recent study day, and i was surprised at how 'reasonable' the image was for such a small thing!

The chap was indicating that they were marketing it towards AAA screening. I guess it may be okay and would cope with basci measurements. The data can easily be carried on a memoery stick, and a basic 1G usb stick will hold loads of patients.
